Bodywork sessions are invitations to the body, deep communication with the body. The pace of the body is much slower than the mind, so each stroke is made at the body's pace. I listen to what the body is saying through touch. It is like travelling into a different land, a different consciousness, and the body is so happy to go at it's own pace and not be rushed, or forced, or pressured in any way. This slow listening opens the body, mind, soul. It is deeply nurturing and satisfying and allows for whatever is needed at the time for each individual body, mind, soul in each individual moment.

"Bodywork sessions are conducted on a low massage table and are 2 hours long. There is time for talking/counselling before and integration after the bodywork. Slow strokes are used to open up the energy channels in the body. These strokes are done at the body's pace, listening for where the body is open, and where the body has some information to explore, release, integrate.
As a bodyworker I am listening through my hands and my body, I am listening with an attitude of no pressure, there is no rush, it goes at the body's own time and pace. It can be very still and slow. I may do one stroke or 20 strokes in a session.
The person receiving the bodywork gets to listen at the same time, it is like meditation. They listen by noticing the sensations they are feeling. I may be working on your neck and you may have sensations in your leg, as the energy channels connect the whole body. We may be silent or we may be talking about the sensations we are both experiencing.
When there is some stored material that is ready to heal, this can occur through sensations, emotions, visions and insights.
Each session is completely unique.
Each session leaves the person feeling deeply connected with yourself, relaxed and with deeper understandings."
Anna Urbanski - Bodywork Practitioner
During labour a woman's body opens to allow the passage of the baby. Past tensions and inhibitions held in the body can disrupt the natural opening, causing her to feel pain and fear. The intensity of this experience can be overwhelming, making it hard to labour naturally. During Bodywork sessions, the woman learns to use her breath, sound and awareness to allow her body to open. She learns to remain present, to relax and go deeply within herself. These skills assist her to surrender to the individual pattern and rhythm of her baby's birth. Women who have undertaken Bodywork during pregnancy report deep satisfaction with the outcome.
Sessions are around 2 hours long and available at Camberwell and Hurstbridge.

"Doing the Bodywork sessions with Anna feels like the most important thing that I've ever done for myself. I am able to trust her completely and work more deeply towards trusting myself as she holds a safe space for me. Anna is loving and fearless in her approach to the sometimes confronting emotions and energy that can surface. It has been life changing.
What makes Anna Urbanski unique is her ability to swiftly reveal that the answers to all my questions are inevitably within me and that I am brave enough to be myself; be with myself." Kiersten Quinn
“Warm and gentle, yet a firm awakening. Hands that communicate in such a nurturing way with your body. Anna has a way of softening and melting those places that seem to hide deep beneath the surface, guiding you to your own source. Physically, emotionally and spiritually.” Kahmen Ceh
I keep checking in with myself to see how I am.
Consciously, I feel open like a window letting the breeze in. I can't really put words to it other than that. Sub-consciously I do feel like something is happened, it is subtle, fluid, slow moving but well moving. It makes me feel like taking time to meditate, which I will tonight.
I really had no idea what would come. It felt really nurturing, which on a conscious level was perfect for where I was at. Going over the experience in my head, it felt like in between breaths was where most movement occurred.
Such an interesting experience, having no expectation or idea of what would come. It felt really subtle, yet really significant. Such a complex, yet simple invitation for the body."
